Hello fellow Hackticians! Today during PlayStation's State of the Play, the long waited and much anticipated Final Fantasy Tactics remaster has been announced! Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles will be bestowed upon us on September 30th, 2025! While during the announcement trailer, it was only mentioned that it would be available on PS5, Square Enix's website has it listed as available on other platforms: PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

I am a life long FFT fan (as all of us on this forum are), so much so that I have a tattoo of Ramza and a Black Mage that is based off the FFT version. While watching the video I literally burst into tears of joy. I cannot believe that we're actually getting this, and I will personally be pre-order (which I am usually against) the game for every console that I have.

It looks like it's taking a page out of Diablo II: Resurrected's book and giving us the ability to play the game with the new improved version, or playing the game as the classic 1997 version, I assume it'll be the exact PSX version.

I am currently jumping around places on the internet just to talk about it as much as I can right now, and this forum was one of the first places that I decided to visit.

Since we are getting a steam version, I'm wondering how much workshop support it might have for easy modding. If it does, I can't wait to see the amazing stuff people from this forum put out.

Thanks for reading, hope you all are excited as I am!
