Final Fantasy Hacktics

Hey guys, I am completely new to the emulator thing, but have downloaded the PPSSPP emulator as well the the game and everything for the most part seems to work fine. However there is the issue with the slowdown during graphics that I have spent an inordinate amount of time now trying to solve. Everything I have been able to find is either considerably outdated, or pretty much just has broken links to malware. I know this probably has to be asked a lot, but where the hell can I get a direct answer on how to fix this, get the files downloaded, and move the hell on?
