Hey guys. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Been busy with work and stuff but I should have some more free time now. Got a little more work done on Rei. All of the walking frames should been done. Hopefully I be able to work on it some more this week.

Thanks for all the love guys! I'm happy you're liking my stuff. I'm going to try to get the Rei sprite done this weekend. Still not sure what I'm going to do about the portrait though. I haven't tried making any of my own yet...guess I could give it a shot.

And Elric it would be freaking awesome if you decide use this sprite for anything. 

Thanks CONMAN! I think using that sprite will help out a lot. I didn't really mess with the palette much at the start but I think I'm a little closer now. I haven't had much time to work on it but here is the progress so far.

Started working on Rei tonight. Not too much done so far. Will probably get to it a little more this weekend. Based it more on the artwork than the in game version. I haven't started the tail yet but I think you're right about it being the biggest issue.

Haha elric I was kinda talking about the list I had there. That being said... Rei is pretty awesome so I might try to make that happen anyway    Do you think someone would be able to make a portrait?

Thanks guys! I'm happy you like it. I updated the original post with the newest Lightning. I think it's mostly done. The action frames at the bottom were a pain. They might be a little sloppy but it's the best I could do. Let me know if you see anything I need to work on

Made a little more progress. Updated Lightning on original post. Just have to finish the action poses at the bottom. Started to edit the hair a little bit but not exactly happy with what I ended up with.

Hey thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was looking on the Jot5 project board instead of the sprite board. Updated original post with credits and the lightning work in progress. Apparently I am a big fan of Twinees' work haha. Hope you don't mind me using your stuff. I'll try to do it justice

Elric: I looked around the JoT5 board but I couldn't find who made the sprites. I know there were quite a few contributors. I'd be happy to give credit...just not sure who to give it to.

Hey guys. Wasn't sure if I should post this yet because I'm still pretty early on with it. Pretty much just the walking frames right now. Just wanted to see if you think I'm headed in the right direction. I'm using a couple of JOT5 sprites for building blocks. The female archer as the base and the half cape from Ramza to be exact. I hope that is ok. Using Cloud's arms but I think they look a little odd. Maybe too big for a female character or something.

Thanks Jumza. I made the edits you recommended. Forgot to update the water sprites when I changed the face so I did that too. Updated the original post with the most current file. Hopefully this one is about finished. Any other ideas? Thinking about doing a Lightning sprite next since there is already a nice portrait.

Ok round 3. Thanks for the suggestions. I think I made all of the changes you recommended. I ended up going with the Delita face for reference.

Hey, I finally got a chance to work on this sprite. I tried to make the changes you suggested. All colors in the palette are pulled from other sprites. I changed back to the original portrait as well. Let me know what you think.

No worries. I didn't think it was too harsh at all. I actually appreciate how detailed you were with the response. I should have some time to work on it this weekend. I'll see what I can do.

You were right about the portrait by the way. I made the edits to make it work with multiple palettes. It completely slipped my mind that I did that. I'll probably change it back to one palette and the original portrait. Thanks for the advice!

Hey guys. I've been coming here a while but mostly just looking around. I figured I'd attempt some spriting and this is what I came up with. Let me know what you think. The Basch is basically custom but I used the portrait from the reference sheet.
