Sorry to break it to you, but i don't think anyone of us will live long enough to see this coming out XD
I don't know long has it been since i download chapter 1.. and played it.. 15 years? can't say really .
I will not say i gave up because i come to check from time to time, but we can say that the level of this mod is extremely good, sadly, once you get the first dose, that's it.

I thought this could be a place where even if i post this, you guys wont scold me too badly

Amazing job guys. I think when its finished you should ask square enix to allow you guys to sell it, after paying copyrights or whatever or splitting the money, i think its going to sell A LOT of copies.
Anyway.. just a though.

It's not like im in a hurry or something, more like curious about it..
Since the release or the chapter 1, it has been 6 years.
I know its free, i know its a few people, life problems, work , unexpected things, i understand everything, and also nothing of this is "something that has to be delivered"
But i feel the need to ask, after coming here very often before and once every few months now..
Is this really going to come out ? and if yes, there is a chance to more or less know? Like "in 2 years its out for sure" or i don't know, let people play an incomplete version, and just let them patch later on a complete one, ( i don't think anyone would mind to start a new game once every year or 6 years XD)
And i'd like to repeat, this is not a complain, more just a curiosity because i really love your work on this.

yea but Nyzer nailed the point.
they come as a random fight way too easrly, you probably barely had the jp to learn any decent skill to put status and them and also assassinate, its a useless skill for strategy, if you don't use quicksave obviously, since it has a 20% or so chance, which mean you will need to be very lucky to use that a reliable source of "damage" which mean you will have to fight with 4 char untill assassinate hit.
Also they inflict status when close range at like 100% so its super hard to let's say "tank" them while you dish out damage, so its not about strategy much, if the only way to deal with them is status ^ ^
Later in the game they would be a lovely challenge , even more of them i'd say, but so early?  its just game over or a 3 hours fight.

hahhaha, if chapter 2 was done long ago it would be nice to play it now, while we wait for the re relase and chapter 3^^
At least we will enjoy this and make a new save , i don't think anyone would mind to start the save "again" even after the re relase come out

I do agree in part with JayP, the game is pretty hard if you don't learn certain skills.
in fact i know some fights and mob got fixed because they were way too strong.. basically if you don't cheat or if you don't already know the fight head on, you're in for a very bad time. or just a plain loss.
And its not about tactics.
   
I'd like to see a video of a veteran FFT player, that never saw jot5, and try the 6 turtle on zirekile falls.

considering the quicksave feature, all battle are menageble or even easy depending on how much you want to abuse that.
But normal fights are supposed to be to exp and not to take way too long
I would prefer story battle to be very hard, so you can just farm on normal ones in order to go on with the story.

Also i know a lot of things will be different when the re relase come out so i really don't worry as i loved the first one even though it was very hard at some point.
It's also true that when you get the right combination of class you can tackle any battles, the point is , since the Jp is so slow its very slow to get those skills and the fights between getting them are pretty stressful xD

The "miss" part of his post is just bad luck , the game is not bugged, but FFT has always been like this, even vanilla make you miss a lot with 85% its not this only.

Guys i think honestly that just with you telling this once every few months would be enough for people to know they have to wait and can't complain since as Nyzer said, real life always comes first, there is no "but" there..

We can imagine that you guys are busy ,but knowing why help a lot not to think things like "They're taking too much time for no reason" of stupid things like this.
I personally know many people think this when they don't know you guys are having a hard time, or your job takes away all your time.

when i work in korea that's 12 hours or work every day, so i know what it mean to be busy and to not have time.

Just give "us" some news about why its taking so long and i think that will suffice to make people understand. (its like you have to do it, of course, its just to make the wait easier) ^^

Maybe its only me, but since im gratefull for what the team is doing, i also care to know how your life goes in general

I don't call a patch "best patch ever and your sucks" and than i say "that's not what i meant is just a title" XD

Anyway.. as elric said, i also don't like vanilla mod... that's is the real reason why i will not try the mod.

But i do have something positive to say about it, you sure put a lot of effort , even if you didn't have to change sprites, events etc.. i tried and i failed, so i will give you credit for that

i think even if i see a lot of inactivity (in this post at least) we're still waiting this so much lol. more curious to play this finished game than ff7 remake lol

Twinees, i knew it would be impossible since laharl and Etna are Gag character^^ i just wrote them cause i like them a lot ahha

i want laharl in the game, and Etna XD i tried to make laharl prite but failed so bad that i gave up lol
