Okay, sorry to bump, but I needed to share this. I had been messing around with guest players before this and I found out that if you have a guest player in your party in one of your original 16, then when the guest went to leave, they would actually stay there and it would take the one out of your original 16.

Then I found this and I was playing the game a bit just to test it out. I was right before you save Algus from the Death Corps and I kicked Delita outta my squad, even though he original entered as a guest. When the battle started Algus was in the place of Delita for some reason and I chose not to save Algus. It was pretty great to see Algus turn and look at himself and say "I'll save him...".

Okay, I know how to do this pretty well I believe, but there is a link at the bottom that says "For a full listing of Sprites and their related file names, visit here." When I click on the link it takes me to a random Go Daddy page. So my question is what is that page? I'm not sure if I'll need it or not and sorry, but this should be a pretty easy question to answer :)

That was helpful, thanks a bunch! I'm going to go and mess around with it some and see how it works out. I'm slowly figuring out that a lot of this stuff you'll just have to toy with and figure out what works best for you and your personal preferences.

Okay, so I am working on a project that seems like it will be simple enough to accomplish. I am just altering a couple of things from the main story and whatnot, yada yada.

So far I have updated the names of various jobs, weapons, skills names. I changed Ramza's chapter 2,3 and 4 sprites to look cooler (I always hated how everyone else had badass armor and his was kinda lame). I gave Ramza the holy knight job in chapters 2,3 and sword saint in chapter 4 because I think that the main character should be more useful than the generic characters. I am currently trying to edit the event where Delita captures Olan, to where Olan and Balmafula join your party afterwards.
Oh, I also edited Balmafula's job a little bit. I pretty much gave her ja magic because I think that those magic's are pretty awesome. I changed Rafa and Malaks magic to not be so random.

Okay, so that's what I've gotten done so far, I basically want to make the game just a little more entertaining, without changing the story too much or anything like that.

Here's my problems. I know that you can only use certain characters to change in the formation screen. From messing around with the unit.bin I noticed that there are a few random bishop looking characters and I want to change them to be an ark knight (the version with destroy sword) and an assassin. I'm having a little trouble with matching everything up between the programs though. Like what job's and skillsets do come with? I'm just a little confused by that because they have ??? for the name so it's hard to tell. If it's ridiculously hard, I have a version where I've changed teta and algus to the jobs and sprites I want, I have it as a different copy of my iso, but I want to make it to where I don't have to switch iso's every time I play if I want them. I'd also like to have it to where they join my party as I play through the game at some point in time.

I've browsed through a lot of the tutorials and posts trying to find info on this, but to no avail.

Oh, and for the assassin job I've been using Demetrius and for the ark knight Vicks, so thanks to whomever made them, I enjoy them very much. :D

Lastly, I would like a little help with altering the hit rate of the assassin jobs. I think it'd be a little overpowered if I don't, so I was wondering what formula would you guys recommend that I use? I used the same formula for black magic when I was fixing up Rafa and Malaks abilities, do you think that would work out okay? I don't think it'd make them too much tougher.

Okay, I know this post is ridiculously long now, but I was needing some suggestions on the following:

What should I make the Jp cost of the assassin's and ark knights abilities?
I don't remember the names of all their abilities, but there's seal, shadow stitch, allure, mind ruin, speed ruin, magic ruin and so on.

And Ramza is not exactly a holy knight because i never took of those 'special' abilities that he had as a squire. So I am taking suggestions on what his job name should be instead of holy knight (chapters 1, 2 & 3) and sword saint (chapter 4)

That sounds like it might be useful :) Thanks a lot for helping me, and as I'm starting to figure this out more and more there's not going to be any need/desire to use a gameshark.

I think I see what you are saying. If I have it set to where they will join my team after battle, wouldn't that just mean I'd have to make room in my original sixteen slot party? I'm not very good at explaining things, but that's what I'm getting from looking at those menu's you mentioned. I'm trying to draw guest characters out in every battle, because I have permanent guests from a slight glitch caused by using the gameshark.

I'm wondering if they would all five leave ghosts, because that would mean that you could technically have more than twenty characters. It would be so sweet if there was a code to send out the guest players.

I haven't tried a single patch yet or any hacking or anything. I have been playing on epsxe and I've been fooling around with different gameshark codes. I read a thread on here about how hard it would be to upsize the amount of characters in your party from 16-24. Okay, on to the point, when I started my game, I added delita, balmafula, alma and olan to my team using the gameshark. As you all know delita and alma are in your party for awhile as guest as you proceed for the storyline. At the point that either character left my team, I lost the ones that I had been leveling up and instead I was left with a guest version of them. I remade both of them and I was getting annoyed by the fact that I had two of each of them and I couldn't use them or remove them so I found out that you can change them into other characters, just like how you can change your regular party members. I'm completely new to all of this, I don't know much about codes even, but I'm wondering if there is possibly a gameshark code that you can use to like, send out guest characters? It does sound like a lot of work, but I'm pretty sure that you can have four guests at a time. Maybe more. I don't have much time on my hands, but I'm wondering if you created let's say, delita, agria, mustadio, alma, ovelia for your team and played through if they would also leave "guest ghosts" in your party. Also, I'm wondering if you changed those "guest ghosts" into monsters would they be able to breed with other monsters in your party? Thanks for taking the time to read this, I may not have a clue what I'm talking about lol.
