Help! / Knock back Rate
July 30, 2012, 08:43:59 pm
I dont know if this has been asked before or not, but is there a way to increase/decrease knockback rate. Or even give a skill the ability to knockback a target?

Example: Throw stone has the ability to knock back a person if it hits someone. I want that ability in something like a Charge +7 skill.

How can I make that possible?

I did that and I still have the problem of only 4 skills in Ying Yang Magic...

I know this is old but I am just getting into modding my FFT and I am having this problem still with ALL characters... I would change up stats for example on an Oracle and give them the skillset of Beowulf, the Templar.. I checked to make sure everything was set and correct.  I had both Ramza and a generic as an Oracle and only 4 skills were available. HOWEVER... I if I change jobs to anything else and set my secondary skill as the Oracle's skill (Ying-Yang Magic), All the skills are available for use. This is the exact same thing if I make the Oracle's skillset as Magic Sword (Beowulf's Skill). This even happens with Special Characters.... How can I fix this?

Help! / Mime, Bard and Dancer help!! plz
October 27, 2011, 02:55:58 pm
I don't know if this is a repost or not...

Im am fairly new to this and I would like to know is there a way to edit the base sets for the Bard Dancer and Mime. And what I mean by that is this:

Can I make it to where Male and Female Characters can be both a Bard AND Dancer? (For job editing reasons)

And also, how can I "fix" my mimes to where I can set abilites when I change jobs? I have the FFTPatcher and I want to give the mimes a new skill set OTHER than mimic.

Thanks guys.

The Lounge / Greetings and hello!!

Greetings and hello to everyone! I am new to the site and new to the Hacking and I have to say I FREAKING LOVE IT!!!

You guys are geniuses on this. Awesome.

Well at any rate, I am not new to FFT. I've played it since it came out and have always wanted to do more with it. And now I fully can. I did experiment with CEP and FFTGS to edit files ingame but now I can make them permanent and it's so much easier. Plus I've seen some awesome patches people have.. Truely makes this game as HUGE as you want it.

Now since I just started, I pretty much have no idea how to even make my own version of the game. I do however know how to edit sprites into the game and somewhat into formation and portraits. I have experimented with making custom patches and adding characters into the game accordingly. (i.e. adding Cloud to the first fight in Gariland lol.) But I would like to know more as to how to add more/different job classes to the game w/o having to rewrite a current one. I would also like to know how to make cut scenes and even learn how to make my own story. I feel in time I will learn these things.

And again, thank you guys so much for having such an awesome thing going on here! I love it!!

I have also just recently started modding and I have to WOW! this is awesome as to what one (or more) people can do to that game.. even make their own sequels or brand new game altogether. I have slowly learned how to make custom pallets for sprites and how to add them into the game.. Past that, not so sure what to do to create a whole NEW class to the job wheel. Any help or ideas? Thank you
