so yeah, why was the princess kidnapped in the first place? dycedarg masterminded the whole deal so as to discredit goltana; but why would having the princess kidnapped necessarily accomplish that? if anything, the one to be discredited would be larg, as he had the most to gain from the princess being taken out of the picture. i'm sure there's some huge, glaring point that i'm missing, but i can't seem to see it. assistance please?

trying to patch a tactext file over a 1.3 easy patched copy of a fft: c iso (i hope that makes sense).  is it supposed to take an eternity to patch? because it is. what's the usual wait time?
