Final Fantasy Hacktics

So after hours of editing the .event files so i would no longer have errors, went from like 40+ to none, my ffta doesn't even work properly... setting the skip tutorial just gives me a black screen, and not having skip tutorial just freezes the game when Colin(?) Does his little jump(no text pops up either the sprites move into position and then boom frozen.) Like even trying to just do like 1 or 2 things(the whole reason I tried the tool was to fix job icons, 1 party sprite and 1 job change sprite) doesn't work an throws a whole page of errors(just from the basic download directly from leonarchs github.) Like stuff where it says invalid commands when trying to remove // to activate hacks, or saying stuff like unexpected something: DIV_OP, even before removing any //.. I'm losing my mind here.. I'm at the point of just giving up and stopping my whole hack altogether after all the time I've put into it...
