EXCELSIOR!  One more angle of that stupid hat down!  If I could hug you over the standard TCP/IP, I would.

And nice job, Cheetah!  Yours looks a little more regal, whilst mine looks a little more warrior-ish.  Either way, I likes.

As for the triangle cut on the back, the only way I'd change is highlight the "V" in the triangle with a white or gold line kinda like Beowulf has his.  Other than that, don't put much of anything on the cape as it might get too busy like my first ideas did.

Can anyone procure the sprite sheets for Orlandu, Malak, Rafa, Cloud, Reis, Beowulf, and Worker 7/8?

I'm in the mood for sprite tinkering.

QuoteKanbabrif!? Wow!

How art thou, gangster?

It's not the real Kanbabrif, Chaumel let him starve to death long ago.  Even near godlike frog-master need to fed.

Not to be a naysayer, but I think 100% hit rate is way too effective.  A guaranteed +1 stat for each team member everytime the CT resolves is intense.  Maybe a 75-90% chance would be better.

I also propose that the MA multiplier for Bard be upped even more.  This would up damage on the Harps, which could allow for a drop in WP.  This could also make the Bard a carrier class for Draw Out.  Using a Bard for a carrier class sounds strange, but I'd like to see how it turns out.

Friggin', I hated the name Aerith whilst loving the name Aeris.

On the Bio topic, I'd say have the poison spells be the Bios, and come up with name for the others.

What about the Bios?  Should those get a complete overhaul?  I can't remember how many Bio3s there are but renaming them should be a topic of debate.

Yep, the last one I posted has all my updates, aside from cleaning up a portion of a hat that shouldn't be there.

No big rush, VincentCraven.  I've been playin' alot of Mass Effect lately which has slowed my SSCC progress and my sprite-making progress.  So I don't really need a Beta 2.0, but I'm sure others might enjoy testing/playing it.

When I get off work, I'll post any progress, but I don't think anything has changed since the last time I linked it.

I'm not entirely following what you are saying, but I assume that you mean to add square into the sprite set to find where the edges are.  Which is a great idea, but I don't feel like doing that for 70+ frames of animation (at least not yet).  But I suppose if we found out the first frames dimensions, we could find if a person on a chocobo could fit in the frame.  That would work well enough.

It's not creating the sprite that would be hard; it's trying to fit a double-sized sprite into a normal-sized spritesheet that's the hard part.  But if I can figure out how large each frame in the sprite sheet is, we could test to see if something would fit.

It is still the same thing as the last post.  I've just been trying to get a hat on'em.  I may just go with one of the ugly ones for now, and just come back to it.  But, I'M SO CLOSE, I don't wanna quit now!

I still can't even get any decnt look for the hat.  I just wanted to let people know that I am still working on the sprite.

If anything, you'd want the rider to be performing the animations simply because the chocobo sprite is the most complicated sprite set in the game.  And I'm sure a mounted sprite could work but I'd need to figure out how to do an oversized sprite.  The only oversized sprites in the game that I know of are Altima I and II.

I'm using Windows XP, and am currently using ePSXe as my emulator.

That would be wonderful.  It would still require me to learn how to patch the game, but that is still a great idea.

Wow, I'm amazed.  Getting a 360, PS3, or Wii was that bad?  Granted getting a Wii here in the states ain't easy, but it's not because of the price.

Strangely enough, my friend Tom was just recently talking about buying a 360 and taking it down to Brazil for his girlfriend.  Maybe that's why.  Well, that and he hasn't seen her for a couple of months, I guess.

I am actually for both for MP cost and blue mage style learning.  I understand Asmo X aversion to the tedium of learning skills that way, but I do not view it that way.  Asmo, you say we shouldn't get sentimental about that style of learning, but I thought the whole reason the Blue Mage was being added was because of sentimentality and nostalgia.

If we don't give the Blue Mage an MP cost, he will just spam Giga Flare every turn.  Giga flare should be a one or two time thing per battle, kinda of like metoer.  So I say the Blue Mage should have the best MA, have low MP, and have summoner SP.  If the Blue Mage would run out of MP, some of his weaker abilities could MP cost of 0 or just a low MP cost like 4 or 5.

I truly would go with "Screw portable platforms", but since I'm only given two options, I think the PSP.  Not only is its library actually starting to get good games, the graphics seem to be better on it.  And while I do think dual screens on the DS is cool, the stylus is the bane of my existence.
