3) If your mime is charging a spell and mimicks anything before completing the spell, the mime will not complete his spell because the act of mimicking deletes the charged spell's data while retaining "Charging" status.  I think this is why Square didn't let mimes have secondaries.

Sometimes I miss making my Speed Bomb Cursed, other times I don't, and this was in 138. I really would have lost that match had it not been for Otabo's terrible Raise 2 accuracy. I mean, 77% and 67%??? Forgot to take White Robe + Healing Staff off of my Oracle, now that not having Fire/Ice/Lightning resistance isn't such a death knell anymore.

Okay so here are some suggestions:

Throwing Weapons in general should have a 25-33% range increase.
Throwing Weapons in general should be more buyable/findable
Throwing Weapons should be craftable
An Atlatl and other primitive weapons would be nice
Heave, Ho! should take Melee as well as Explosives
Melee/Barehanded Perks in general should be more interchangable.

This was quite the enlightening match for me and fdc, particularly into the new metagame aspects of Oil. "Hey Phoenix Blader, enjoy not having Grand Cross now. Love, Hawk's Eye. P.S. F U Map Loring bastard." Yeah Oil has become an excellent way of hard countering Absorb teams now. And man, did Magic Guns get beat with the nerf stick. Poor Reks is probably going to have to restructure his team. He's having big trouble attacking safely and defending his team in turn.


Defense Ring + 5 Move + Enemy Wind/Lightning Bow = Looong match

Always: Reraise is an unworkable concept. It might be indeed better with negative speed, but you still end up with an unkill-able aggro unit that can Balance the shit out of you.

I don't think it really could ever be as bad as Katar Thieves, Always: Protect or not. The combination of extreme damage and move was what made Katar so good.

That's actually intentional-ish. Understandable? Anyways, it's how negative attributes are understood by the game. It does indeed add negative speed if you try it out. Because Memgen has yet to be updated to comprehend negative numbers, it'll just barf out that number, so don't worry about that, at least. Just keep testing!

Negative Attributes do not work properly. When extra speed is applied/overcomes the negative value in battle, it will overflow unless an speed boosting equipment is worn!
Platina Shield is neither Absorbing Holy or Weak against Dark. Diamond Shield is fine.
Defender is Always: Don't Act instead of Immune: Don't Act
Atheist, not Atheist Bow has 0% chance of Innocent
Spell Edge's Faith proc not working correctly.
Genji Helmet is not Initial: Berserk
Masamune does add: Haste

All Map Lores should be unmimeable.

I think that Chiri should have 1 Move instead of 1 Speed because it would be nice to have a Katana that Samurai actually use to hit things with. Then again Berserk.

FFM also forgot to mention that Cursed Ring was to be nerf via system change:

Zombified Units that are Immune: Crystal now only have a 50% chance of revival when the death counter reaches 0. If the revival fails, the unit will have to wait an additional turn.

While I believe this is how the interaction used to work in Vanilla and it's current behavior is an ASM, it may end up being a TODO given it's an ASM.

There's actually a few systematic changes FFM forgot to document (and I hope he doesn't forget to do them!). The change I remember the most is flagging Tsumazuku for AI use.

^Important one. The reason why the AI is so derpy when it comes to casting Ultima (not giving a shit about being midcharged, not understanding that Ultima has MP cost, which is why it also works with Quickening, etc.) because it was deliberately made that way so that it was easier for Ramza to get hit by Ultima. Just any slot will do.

Idk if FFM's still going through with the Mime changes though.

Thief Hat will be fine. People will always stack speed at any cost. It's usage may go down to about equal to Secret Clothes however.

Kinda sad that my suggestion to make Iron Fan Dark Elemental or any of the Spear changes didn't go through. We really need a non self strengthening Dark Weapon.

Welp, yet another tournament title just barely slips away from my grasp. I think what I should have done was run a Nether Wizard instead of a Summoner so I can still have high damage AoE yet resist Spellguns. Actually, my main flaw in team construction was overestimating the strength of Raise 2 and not putting my units in the proper slots like I was going to. Damn it, well, I'll get to be champ next year. You guys will see.

In any case, best of luck to both DomieV and Leif1991.

Well the battle was well met, Leif. I attached Projectile Guard to the wrong unit, it's as simple as that. My summoner needed it more.
