I just got back from vacation.  Its nice to see that things are moving forward with the tourney.  I'll be able to help with videos if need be (provided my sound card is working correctly.  I can run tests tonight if it sounds like you need me to).

I can also help with little crap like map rngs and the like, just let me know.

Some really good matches in there!

Hot Mime on Mime action!  The team with the first strike is the victor in these matchups.

Man my team is annoying.  Fun to watch though.

Those are the flames from the barrel.  Tracer solves all sorts of mysteries about math problems and broken lamps :)

Going live in Chapter 3 here in a few if anyone is looking for a diversion.

For those that missed it, got through Yugioh Woods.  You can still catch the videos that include a reset due to throw stone, a lot of pain at Wiegraf II, and a tanky supermediator saving Rafa.

You should definitely call a lawyer.  They shouldnt ask for any money up front for a case like this.  If they do, call another one.  I dont know anything about the part of the country youre in now, so I cant really offer anything more concrete.  More than likely, they will send you back to a doctor for a more thorough checkup if I were a betting man.
Keep us posted, and I hope the only injuries you had are truly minor and you'll be ok!

About to go live again for Chapter 2.  Pop in if youre bored  :)

In case you missed it, the videos are archived.  You missed more Mime action, an extremely powerful Ninja at Goug, a surprisingly easy and effective Execution Site, a surprisingly hard Outside of Lionel, and Queklain using both Chicken Race and Death Cold!

Chapter 1 finished.  In case you missed it, the recordings are saved.  You can still catch an overpowered Sweegy Woods, a charm of doom at the Thieves Fort, and having to bring a Mime into Lenalia Plateau.

(sound was acting up on the first recording.  The second one is working normally.)

Just wanted to pop in and say, like always, thanks for all the matches Barren.

I wanted to chime in with the same thing.  I know it can be frustrating being the only one who consistently does matches, but we all appreciate you taking the time to run them!

Aside from the passive Squire, I'm pretty pleased at how, well, annoying my team was.  Especially with Stop and Zombie not having cures that are widely used.  Once I get a more aggressive front line fighter, they should do very well.

Just goes to show you that best compat makes the first turns so important as far as swinging a match either way

1)  I'm assuming its 1 team per person?  Or will more be allowed as filler for the brackets?  If more are allowed, I'd be all for the Primary Team automatically advancing regardless of the outcome of the match if paired against a filler team in round 1.

2)  I've already said my piece on maps.  I'll go with whatever, but there are a handful of maps that at least need to be considered for bans.  My main objection for choke point maps is if you run a team with Petrify, that can really screw you over on some maps.  There are other instances where it can really hurt as well, like if there is a corpse between you and the enemy on the choke.

3)  One suggestion I'd have as far as seeds go would be to seed the match casters so they wont have to cast their own teams.  It makes the tournament more fun to watch when the caster doesnt have an obvious bias as far as who they want to win.

Just my thoughts, I'll go with the flow  :)

Quick note: I forgot to equip one of the Dancer's with Persia so my apologies Dol

I completely blame my performance on your oversight in this matter Barren.  Or...

I stopped using Mimes once they became vulnerable to status effects.  This match reminded me why.  Its really hard to have a pure support unit and a Mime on the same team and have it be effective, and thats what I would have needed against Lief.  His team performed really well.  That Knight having good compat with my team totally wrecked me.

Good match between the two newcomers!  Look forward to new matches with revised/new teams!

Ow.  Bunching up like that wasnt something I anticipated.  It was a gimmick team anyways.  I'm considering revising it to something more dangerous though.

Love the 0 damage Blind.  At least he wasnt healing the enemy to inflict Blind!

Its probably time to revisit the Problem Maps thread (http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=7646.0).  If nothing else to pick some maps to eliminate from the pool for the tourney.  My vote would be to kick due to chokes and/or unit placement.
6, 10, 19, 33, 36, 38, 43, 50, 54, 57, 65, 81, 83, 93, 107, 112, 117, 118, 119

Of course I'll go with the flow since I'm not the one doing the actual work  :)

Thanks for the matches as always Barren.

Trying to create a team around Breaks is pointless for me now.  The AI just doesnt get it.  Maybe someone else can put together something that works instead.

For the elemental Ninja attacks, are they reduced by Shell or Protect?  I'm thinking it should be Shell, but after watching the marathon again, its looking like Shell had no effect on the damage when units used Magicward.

I'm assuming its going to be 1 team per person and then filling in with alternates to fill up the bracket?  Is it going to be single or double elimination?  If its double elim, do alternate teams automatically "lose" to primarys in the first round and go into the losers bracket?

Been out of town for the last few days and finally got a chance to watch the Marathon.

Kind of hard to track down which team is doing which fight.  I dont blame Barren a bit for not listing it in the description though; I sure as hell dont want to go through all that work.

Quite a pathetic showing from Team Dol..... except for the Craven Agnostics (fight 1).  They had an absolutely ideal map, but I was very pleased at how everyone was acting.  Pretty decent damage output for a 40 br/fa team.

The Marathon was a great way to build up anticipation for a tourney though, great job all around.  One thing that I've noticed is that the intro is a bit too long IMO.  A minute and a half is more of an intro than you really need before getting to the formation screen.  It may just be me though, so dont sweat it if everyone else thinks its good as is.

This is quite excellent.  Playing around with expected damage output of builds has been quite entertaining.
