I can't wait to see what ya'll put together. Again rooting for silentkaster as he became the underdog somehow, but if somebody can pull it off, it's you, man. Excited to see something other than an fs bag power sleeve monk have success. Obelisk is nice, chaos blade is good too, Or not relying on equip support could be the best course of action. Should still slap the chakra band on the fs/power sleeve monk IMHO. Too exciting.

I sincerely hope shintroy goes for a gatekeeper strategy, samurai is great for this and I find the idea very compelling. Has potential for my favourite team of the season, but maybe somebody else can make something stranger work better. Time will tell but I'm getting impatient. Sorry for voting against mime, I know you wanted to do something with it. I'll probably take a crack at a few mime teams for the regular season

Holy shit Barren got archer, we are all doomed. SCC archer is viable in standard exhibitions. Thief too.

SCC samurai is definitely a great pick, but far from easy. You'll need to take full advantage of everything you got in order to best all thief or (oddly) wizard teams. I definitely wanted to throw samurai into my picks (another unhealthy obsession) but I felt I was needed elsewhere.

I'll try to share some thoughts without spoiling too much. I'm going for classic oracle builds while (mostly) adhering to one item/ability rules. Also trying not to decimate JP caps because I want to see more people using oracles, and it's hard to showcase builds if it relies on impossible JP totals. Though definitely designed for victories, it comes secondary to showing off lesser used skills in (more or less) ideal situations. I hope my weird-ass ideas will inspire you all to make more weird-ass units.

Umm I vote ban mime, I love them and all, but it's kind of broken in SCC.

Everyone knows thieves are a bit OP, which is why I want to showcase an oracle team specifically. Just want to show off the versatility of the class while making an overall decent team.

I'll make oracle my primary (odd) mediator secondary (even) and ya'll can have lancer if you want it.

I'm cool with that if it'll get things moving, didn't mean to give a hard time about it. By the looks of things, most people are choosing lesser used classes, so that's good.

.. I'm having troubles deciding, I could potentially prevent anyone from talking smack about oracles again..
.. but lancers are so cool. Will make a regular season with lancer if I don't here.

we'll have to ban mime for this, I don't think we'll agree on a way to balance them, but 1 mime anything goes should be okay, just breaks the spirit of SCC. Your class has item/ability limitations. what do you strengthen? what do you reinforce? mime does open some equip possibilities not open to you otherwise, but kind of isn't an SCC anymore, is it?

Edit: if we're drawing classes, I want Lancer, Mediator or oracle.

I'd be down for round robin 1 ability/item.

Don't like the 2 class only though.. seems unfair, though I'd be surprised if anybody wants to do what I do.

if 8 people want to be thief, so be it. You can build to counter, knowing the current meta. The whole first come first serve is even worse. Get an experienced guy with thief or archer and a late registration choice of summoner or wizard? no thanks.

Mime is a tough call. for those who don't know: mimes can't mimic other mimes, so SCC mime will do you no favors. If it's 1 item/ability, then I say mime is allowed. If it's standard then ban them.

regarding maps: there is always a thread with the maps being used and the option to contest any non banned map. In our last tournament we had all the maps from first match to last laid out for all to look at, so take your chance to state your opinion. After that, all is fair.

My bad, well whoever is confused doesn't have to be anymore. It does help to step outside the comfort zone and really challenge yourself, so I wouldn't mind unlimited JP 1 item/ability. But I voted standard round robin, so no use even slapping a team together until we've decided what we want to do.

well, you are and it's awesome.

Haven't voted yet, round robin is my favourite. More games, better averages.. but more work for you guys as well. If ya'll are cool with that then I'll vote round robin.

@ corosar: you may or may not know: 1 item/ ability, no jp means you can fully load out your units but you cannot use the same items or abilities  twice. innate don't count, so if you SCC ninja, everybody can have 2 swords and 8 different swords equipped between them. You would also be able to equip whatever abilities without worrying about JP.

I'm down for a SCC, preferably standard rules. Tough to get that all underway before the fall, but if we start registration soon, we should get another good turnout.
