So... I ran into a big problem. Replacing scus makes the game playable, and before the problem, I changed two things ; FFTpacther and FFTactext.

I put back in fresh new text after the first failure.

The game ''bugs'' after the first mouvement, the one who moved stays still, and nothing else happens, the others continue to walk.

Any ideas ?

I thought furries where bad, and I stumbled over ''Otherkinds''

- Durr, I am just a guy that has personal problem, so il pretend I am not even human.

Isin't that just saying, ''Oh, if you feel bad about absolutely anything and want to feel special, join us ?''

Once, I have read a short story named ''Napoleon in Moscow'', where the main caracther evades it's own reality to escape the penalty of love, because his wife uses him, and that was the only time I ever felt a human could destroy his own sanity for a good reason. (I hereby respect Love, should you question my motives)

But reading the text I just posted, and knowing about furries and such, makes me wonder...

How many individuals are now unable to cope with their lives and must ''escape'' to reach out that goal ? ''Escaping'' reality may do you well, but afther some time, it just hurts to see people wandering around, moving their psyche around, to feel more special, or even just to get a bit of attention ?

Those who think like that are mostly sure to call out ''We are now like that'', but il ask everyone to think for a second here, and awnser accordingly.

- Do you think it is unusual to imagine people, imagine their voice, and take actions accordingly from these mental images ?
- Do you actually feel special when you talk about your problems, or things you do, you see, you make, and what you think ?
- Do you think ''escaping'' is a solution to problems, or do you not have problems, since you are that kind of person ?

And please, think about it, double-think, question your own reality. We are all unique, but we all do the same things. Your psyche is the only thing no one can attain, but I must focus  -We are humans-.

Created by reproduction of two others humans, a male and a female, and a whole lot of genetic talk later, there we are, humans, humans, humans. We are born with a Brain, and withouth arguing, it is the most powerfull thing we have. Often, it distort reality, brings new meanings, make impossible connections to make us feel better, but it remains that this feeling for hapiness is deep into our brain.

My point stands there. Why ''escape'' into personas and alternate realities ? Bring me ''Human-dragons'', bring me ''humans with animal senses'', bring me a genuine animal, and then I might beleive.

Stop looking for hapiness in a world that does not exist. You exist, and you alone can model your existance. Always question your motives, your very existance, think, double-think, question your every mouvements... And then you may learn to know yourself...

If anybody knows, I was suggested making a element into a Healing element.

This would allow for more random Heals, fix the undead glitch on the Blood knight (not that anybody but me could know) and some other things.

I am in favor of the sacrifice, but that does mean I will have to sacrifice an element, and thus, much choose.

- Holy
Pros : Holy is underused, it's white when casted and well... has a name that suits the job.
Cons: I think holy is much more like lightning : A punishement, a test, not something to heal you.

- Dark
Pros : Dark is so overused, it sickens me.
Cons: It looks dark when spell-casted.


- Water
Pros : Can be replaced by Ice. It's blue and blue = heal.
Cons: It IS a basic element altogheter, and some monsters are prone not to like water innitialy.

So, I asked yesterday for a funky class to replace the Sorcerer... and this is what we came out with :

Luck Conjurer :

A weird unit on field. Bringing several range items into battle, he invokes pure luck on the battlefield. A light unit, he can be very powerfull if used well, but can also ruin you completly. His skills cost a lot, but can be all learned by getting hit with one.

Equip : Bows, X-bows, Guns, Cloths, Hats, Robes, Acessories.

Skillset (ideas) :

Lucky Star (wink to px) : Medium MP and CT cost. 3 range, 2aoe, 5 vertical.
Deals very high damage to a single panel (Almost one-shot kills) chosen randomly.

Blind shot : No CT, some MP cost, 1-line infinite range, 1 vertical.
Deals random damage to the whole line in front of him.

more to add...but I don't want it to look too much like the Merc gambler !

2) Basic instructions, How-to Decompile, export, import.

2.1) Starting out
Take cdmage to open your ISO. (It can be an .Img or .Bin). You will probably have to choose a Cd style.
You can select mode 2, this will open it freely and well, usually.

Select EVENT, this should open a sub-window. In that window, you can right click on our two objectives, Attack.out and TEST.evt. Click extract and then select your target folder (I suggest creating a foldeer names Event Editing).
Then, Unzip the Event Compiler/Decompiler file and the ATTACK.out editor file and put them in the same Folder.
You should have those in the same folder now :

Event Compiler/Decompiler

Doubleclick the Decompiler and wait a few seconds untils it generate your base files, Event.txt and PSXevents.txt

Another thing to do, extract the FFTpacther, start a new pacth, and save it For this Tutorial, we will only touch the ENTD section. This does not need to be in the same folder as the Other two.
You are now ready to Start, basicly.

3) The making of a simple event.

First of all, open PSXevent, and find your target event you want to change :

You need to use the event number after the ''Setup'' to find the correct script to modify.
Once you got that number, go look for it in Psxevents.txt, and copy the script from the start and until the end of the message section. (before the begining of a new script)

Paste it over the current event in Event.txt

Here I removed the Text Offset (ALWAYS DO THAT, VERY IMPORTANT!!!!) and all the event instructions, exept EventEnd(), And I removed all the text, exept message x01. Try to be similar. (in doupt, copy paste that)
Save event.txt

Now, you need to choose many things. Go select your map from the map section, remember the number.
Open FFTpacther, then go to ENTD. Select any of the numbers, it does not matter, I suggest taking a empty one for this event. Remember the number.
As of there, most of the instructions are clear, and you should be able to make your own unit. For this test, we will use map 101, tutorial(1). The only important thing here is the Unit ID, the unit sprite, and his X,Y position. Make sure he is ''always present'' and male/female.
Make a caracther named Ramza, using ramza sprite, and place him on X=0 Y=5, and give him unit ID 20, facing Northeast. This should be your base for this tutorial. Save your pacth and pacth your ISO in FFpacther.

Now the work begin !

For this tutorial, we will use the first event, 1-2 at Orbonne.
Open the Attack.out Editor in the same folder with your extracted Attack.out, select the Event (There is 2 of them to change) and change the map (It is currently Chapel of orbonne) to Tutorial(1) (It should be near the bottom in the list). Change the ENTD to the ENTD you used (The one with the new Ramza we made...).
Then save, and keep it open.

Douclick on the event compiler, and wait for the confirmation message.

Open Cdmage, like you did before, and load your ISO.
Right click on attack.out, and import your new attack.out
Right click on Test.evt, and import your modifed one.

Then close Cdmage, open your emulator, and try it out.
You should see ramza, moving on the same spot, in the map Tutorial(1).

If not, find an error. Now what ? We will make a simple event out of there. Open/load Event.txt again, it should look like we left it:

So, with this you have the basis of an event. The animation list can be found on the Wiki.
Save event.txt, and repeat the upper steps to import it into the iso. (Save, compiler, Cdmage, import, close)

Then try it out, it should work out well.

Soooooo this is the fence sprite I made for a prison in COP.

I need comments. The sprite works well, but it is a ZODIAC (zalera) sprite, so it needs a special event to be retired (Does not die normally, so use it like a boss, or something.)





I need comments and ways to improve.

The mindmaster is a sprite I am trying to do for COP.

Mindmasters are generic unit that can only attack using books. They levitate, and teleport.

His legs are crossed, and I should provide more view. I know it looks bland, but it's kind of the goal. I am seeking advice.
