yes, but actually you don't need to change both of them. just change the one you wish to.
for example is that meliadoul, if you just want her have a change after join your party, then use shisi to change only her meliadoul(join) sprite.

i think there's already something like this have been posted before.
but never mind of that, you're good. how about you add some uniqueness in it?
here's some example i got :

bignick, after you open your iso, select sprite, next to file.
then you'll able import your sprite by selecting import spr or bmp.

and about 16 colors, do background really count?

i tried it, but when i changed the armor's palette, his eyes change into same color as i use for the armor.
how to fix it?

I don't know how to put this, but in this bmp i noticed that ramza white eyes are share same color with his shoulder. How to seperate it?
