Title: Final Fantasy Tactics > Site Submission > Sprites
Post by: Sub Temptation on June 17, 2013, 09:19:55 am
Hello community, I am new to this Forum and english is not my first language so pls do not blame me for mistakes but you can correct me everytime. My question is why the spriter dropt many times only a .spr in "Spriting" I know what to do with a .bmp and then to export the spr file from shishi to import this to my ISO with CDMage. But this confused me a bit what happen when I import only a spr file. Is it correct that it is the same like I descriped with bmp file etc.?

Uh, yeah I think what you're saying is correct...

Making a .bmp into a .spr file will give the same result as having the .spr file in the first place. To get the spr. file they go through the exact same process as you do.

.SPR is the format the game uses, part of it is compressed, a bit smaller in filesize.
.BMP is the editable format we use, uncompressed, that you can use in nearly all image editors.

To switch between the two just import with Shishi, and export in the desired format.
