Title: Sprite Editing
Post by: shaggy212314 on May 01, 2013, 03:23:08 pm
Hello there I am a little new to using emulators and I was wondering if there is a way to edit sprites of an emulator file or a way to get ahold of a unit.bin file so I can edit some sprites? There are plenty of guides to edit sprites and I have all the programs to do it but they won't work since the iso file for the emulator is only a single file.

Yes it will! Just open your ShiShi sprite manager from the FFTPatcher Suite and open up your 'single file'. Then say yes to restructuring the ISO. Finally find a sprite on the list, and use the options on the top to import/export to your hearts content!

lol what i meant was to edit the sprites myself like the colors, armor, etc... I actually figured out how to get the UNIT.BIN file out useing CDMage so thats not an issue anymore. Now i just need a program to open the sprites and change them.

Thanks thats awesome. I do have one last question and i will be done. In the cutscenes when the custom sprite moves certain ways... Ramza cutscene with his father... the sprite glitches out. Is there a way to fix this. And by the way I love this site people are helpful and the mods are awesome i have tried them all and love them.

Those frames are EVTCHR. short of opening them with the EVTCHR viewer and editing each frame. there is no easy way to fix this.
