Yup.

Extract the fftpack.bin file from the ISO using UMDGen v4.00. Use FFTPatcher to extract all of the game files from the fftpack file. The sprite files are in the BATTLE folder. Replace whatever sprite(s) you wish. When you're finished, use the FFTPatcher to rebuild a new fftpack.bin and insert that fftpack.bin file into the ISO using UMDGen.

Hope that helps.

The new file has to be the same size as the one you are replacing though

so for example, if i want Cloud's Advent Children sprite, i just replace Cloud's original sprites?

and what about the "original" custom sprites, like Miang's and Misty's, do they require that i have to replace spritse too?

yes but replacing the cloud sprite is an interesting process and your much better off replacing another one

The PSP version for Cloud is glitched. Replacing that sprite always leads to crashes.

so what would you prefer for me to do? and what about adding Miang's sprite, what should i do?

... i'd rather not complain but a quick search of either this section or the sprite section would have easily answered your question
