Title: Changing the CORRECT custom Sprite
Post by: Two Steaks on August 27, 2012, 07:31:26 pm
Hey guys before anything I just want to say nice work with all you have done.  Also, special thanks to the youtube support vids.  Now down to biz, I have been playing around with custom sprites, my question is this.. Is there a way to tell which sprite is an enemy, or ally? IE, multiple m knights in shishi list, and I only want to edit the ally, is there possibly a readme file? thanks again.

Moved to Help.

Enemies and allies share the same generic sprites, but they use different palettes than the party.

Yep. If you're not talking about the palette though, you'll need entirely different sprite sheets if you want to make separate ally / enemy only classes, and then edit the battles and class-changing ability in FFTPatcher so that you can only face enemy the units in the case of enemy-only (in which case you'd make it so that allied units can't switch to the class) or never face them in the case of ally-only.
