Title: Is there anyway to mod past the 999 stats?
Post by: JokerTheRoyale on August 10, 2012, 08:02:33 pm
I've been working on modding my own game, just for the lol, really. And well, I was wondering if there was a way to break 999 cap on damage, HP, MP and such. I know the final boss has over the regular 999 limit, and was just curious on how that worked.

You can't have such units in your party roster.

There should be a ??? stats flag in the ENTD tab, it allows you to give a unit that "status". Essentially, it gives 10x HP, 10x MP, with a max of 65535 instead, and hides the stats; like all Lucavi. Be wary, giving them armor (maybe even other equipment) will reset the max back to 999.

Thanks for the reply! I have another question, I've seen mods thats added custom moves and job classes, what programs would I need for this and how would I go about doing it?

You can edit jobs and abilities in FFTPatcher
You can edit ability and job names in FFTactext

Thanks again! One last question.. I've followed the Custom Character tutorial by Jon, but when I enter the fight, I can't use the Job and character I created, they don't show up in the fight at all.

Edit: They join the party, but after the fight, with no notification. And they cant be played in the battle. =/. Even though I set them to Controlable, they join as guests.

What is Very important in these cases are Unit ID's make sure the Unit ID isn't that of any of the guests.

Thanks so much guys! Now, to make a character leave after a specific battle, would I need to use Ravens event editer? Or can I do that VIA ENTD?
