I don't recall having seen something on this before but if there is (or if its in Shishi and I missed it) please let me know.
Choto was asking about finding graphics in a file earlier today and so we cracked it open in TM to take a look. The file in question is Zodiac.bin in the BATTLE folder and what we found were the sprites for Frog/Chicken/Crystal/Treasure'd units. I couldn't find a usable palette after messing around with it for about a half hour. I thought maybe someone else might be able to do better with it. Viewed as 2-dimensional 4bpp linear, reverse order at 64 tiles wide.
Is there any way to edit this as of now? I'm assuming not but i thought i would ask. I always wondered how someone was able to get this

SA mentioned that the palette data is not stored within Zodiac.bin, so he may know more about it. I also found this poking around random files. It seems to be a bunch of stuff displayed in battle: Status inflictions, charging symbol, numbers for damage, etc. Not sure if its been brought up or not but here it is. I have it in 4bpp linear reverse order, 32X40 2 dimensional. I have no clue where to look for the palette, but this may be able to change the same old graphics we've been seeing for 13 years
Whoever translated the game into Italian changed a lot of these text images, so they'd be the people to ask RE finding palettes.
Also, FFT: Complete.
Well hot diggity.. if anything at least I have cheechens in my signature now.
I know I've modified that sheet myself for CCP, Choto. Its how I got Gemstones, Crowns and a generic Accessory icon into the item/shop lists.
I think these sheets should be fixed palette-wise and posted in the important links thread, they're super useful

You're having trouble finding the palette, correct? Well, we know from the battle spites what order palettes are in, so can't we just figure out the hex for the colors in this ripped sheet and then search for them in a hex editor? Where is this stuff loaded in RAM and psv save states?
