hey i m a mac user and i ve recently downloaded the patch and iso for fft and patched it and burned it onto a cd. however, anytime i run it on my pcsx emulator, the emu always just closes. i m really not too sure what to do.

oh in addition, my original final fantasy tactics for playstation works on the pcsx

i own a mac 10.5.4 os x and used the "burn" program

wait, you burned it to a cd to play on an emulator?

you're using PCSX the mac PS1 emulator, right?

I know that one runs on CD's

yup thats what i tried, but it doesnt work. is there a better emu to play it on or something else i should do?

not sure why it's not working,,

my best guess is PCSX can only read real PS1 discs..

dangit, maybe its the iso i m using. i guess i l try to find another one.
is there another better emu to play it on? or is pcsx the best?

I used PCSX too (I'm on a mac)

and I don't know of any other PS1 emus for mac

what you're looking for is an emu that runs off the .ISO itself

so it can play the 1.3 patched iso without any problems

I recommend looking into Parallels (or other Virtual Machine software) that is able to run Windows XP on your mac and use the other, more accessible .exe Windows Emulators

(that's what I do now, and it works fine)

but it's a little more of a hassle to get it all running
