So I have ePSXe for playing my PS1 copy of FFT. I made a copy of the original iso and one I plan to use for modding. I want to start simple, or at least what I think would be simple compared to other things, so I decided to do editting with the dialogue. The question I have is regarding what I'm going to need to use. I know for sure I'll need the event compiler/decompiler and cdmage, but do I even need the fftpatcher for this, or can it be done without it? Curious about this as the tutorial was confusing me.
No need. Just get CDMage and Raven's Easyvent Editor.

Okay, so I've messed around with Easyvent Editor, and I like it already with how it has every event already in there. I assume I just need to change them from there and import them. Here's where I'm stuck. I know when I save the event I editted that it goes to the Custom Event Directory, and then if I compile it, it's also event.txt in the Easyvent Editor folder. They look the same save for the names. I'm not sure what to do at this point as far as which one do I use, should I do all of my editting first, and then how I import. With CdMage I managed to find the Event Folder with Test.EVT and what not, but being the noob that I am... ^_^
If I'm remembering correctly, import the test.evt that's in the Easyvent folder after making your changes.
