for that matter what emulator should i use for the psp version in general? i assume it's impossible to test or play the hacked versions without one. thanks much!

There's no PSP emulator yet, sadly. :(

according to the site forum the war of lions works moderately well but still not perfect... i'm gonna download the files and see how it works.
maybe others can benefit as well...
