I want some porn with characterization. Maybe even a plot that isn't a joke. Most of the trash out there is a pizza guy delivering a single hot sausage.
I'd say something along the lines of an x rated romantic comedy, but the characters in romantic comedies tend to be flat as wooden boards and half as interesting.

Yeah, I thought that was a little too racy. Cartoon sex acts are a step up - or down, depending on your point of view - from homosexual innuendo.
This thread gave me some ideas RE politics. Conservatives are at their best (IE most successful with the voters) when they focus on real-world economic issues, and when they propose and implement real solutions to said issues (beyond the obligatory don't tax the rich, let them piss on the poor). Every time conservatives engage liberals in the culture wars, liberals - for whatever reason - always rise to the bait and fight battles over stupid shit that does not matter. If liberals could just ignore the cultural implications of conservative philosophy and instead focus on the economic reprocussions, then they would win more elections.
This demonstrates that the same bait-and-switch tactic works wonderfully with conservatives. Get them chasing after the sanctity of their imaginary friend, and they lose all rationality and start threatening people, which really shows you that religion is, above all else, a political institution, which seeks to dominate others with differing opinions and tastes.

But it is hard sir pickelgirl when the conseratives are implementing backwards laws. Like make it illeagal for gays to marry and cut birth control cost and so forth. There has to be an entitiy to fight for civil rights too whether it be conservatives or liberals.

I'm glad people are being reasonable now. The bottom line is that most liberal and conservative policies could and would be successful but there are too many stupid people on both sides that cannot compromise or get too caught up in their ideals.
Also, calling Jesus and the apostles "imaginary" is going a little too far... last I checked it was agreed upon by most historians that those people existed, whether you want to believe in the miracles or not.

It's not calling the people themselves imaginary so much as the personas that they've been given. While I can appreciate the value of believing in something like that, for all we know, it's entirely possible that the apostles got drunk and/or stoned and said "hey, let's write all of this crazy untrue shit and see what happens", and then *boom*, insta-religion.

Well, the Romans kept pretty good records, and the timelines of Herod's governership of Israel and Pontius Pilates's don't correspond with the timelines set forth in the bible. And there isn't any mention in any roman records of mass killings of male infants. Considering how much the Romans advertised their brutality (which they did to keep people in line, and apparentally it worked), there's no reason for them not to mention it somewhere. Ditto with Pontius Pilates (am I spelling that right?). No records of a man claiming to be king of the Jews... no reliable ones, at least. The only records that mention the crucifixion were written centuries after it supposedly occured.
Don't get me started on Mohammed. If there isn't a shred of proof that Jesus ever existed, then there isn't a queef in a cowshed's worth that Mohammed ever existed. The first Koran ever written - which no longer exists BTW, it's only known through commentaries and histories - was written 200 years after Mohammed supposed birth. And, according to tradition, Mohammed wrote the Koran. And he was illiterate.
So General Strife, whenever you think you have it bad in the proof department, just say, "Hey, at least I'm not a Muslim." Or a Scientologist. Or a Mormon. Or...
