Title: Custom Sprites messed up when patching
Post by: dwib on June 03, 2011, 08:35:37 pm
Alright, I've tried 3 different ISOs and all of them have the same problem...
When I patch a ppf (using ppf-o-matic 3), the custom sprites that are inserted into the game always look fucked up (mostly the rear attacking frames) (I attached a picture of what it looks like).
It kind of looks like they got cut off or something

I've restructured the ISO with ShiShi before patching.

Any tips on what I'm doing wrong? I know that it happens with CCP and the Parted Ways Test patch at least, I haven't really tried others. It doesn't effect gameplay, it is just really obnoxious when your characters turn into a block of random pixels when they go to attack and makes it hard to enjoy the game

I've had this happen too. All I did was re-insert the sprite.

No one really knows why that happens. sometimes just reinserting it or changing it to a bmp or renaming it helps. try opening the undistorted file in Graphics Gale rename it and reinsert it.
