Does anyone know Marge Funeral/Marcel Funebris's Japanese Job name is?
I remember hearing a few years back in the early days of when FFT came out (more or less a few months after it being release) that his job name was "Pope" and he was referred by this title within the game in the Japanese version, so I'm trying to finally confirm if this is true or not. Google isn't helping much, but nevertheless, I'll keep trying.
High Priest Description (PSX Version): A messenger of God who has the highest authority in the church. His words are powerful enough to alter the fate of a nation.

So, anyone who actually played the Japanese version of the game can confirm this whether this is true or not.
It is very difficult to say. In both English translations he is called "High Priest/Confessor, and the War of the Lions translations took very little from the original translation so it is my guess that "High" is actually in his Japanese title.
Let me do a little research myself...
Found it! You were right, his Japanese title was "Pope". from...
(horribly translated but the gist is the same...)
"Frankly on the job setting itself, " the Pope (Pope) ". But this word in the English-speaking pope
Literally sitting in the Vatican for the Pope's words of Megumi Takashi your honor, your highness can not allow such a thing is not a pretext.
Therefore, the overseas edition of religious considerations in the FFT power Haipurisuto has changed."
I do have to say though that High Priest Funeral or even High Confessor Funebris sounds more imposing than Pope Funeral for the record. Though always glad to see another fan of the misunderstood old man, hehe.
Thank you for the confirmation LastingDawn, I really appreciate it. Thanks a bunch.
I always though the High Priest title didn't fit well to him, it didn't entirely describe his real purpose or position so to speak. Especially according to his in-game description seems to point that he is more.
Again, thank you.
