Looks a bit flat, good for a rough draft though. My Sabin can fight your Kefka!
I know I just mainly worked on the shoulders and then I got bored.
Yeah needs some shading for depth. I'm not sure about that green as the base color either. It is more than a little blah. I'm liking the shoulders and the idea though.
Sigh...Can someone do the feet for me I can't get them to look right.
They need to be red.
His hair was too big so I fixed it and changed the color tell me what you think. Plus, I added the red comb.
I made the Fur shoulders a little bigger plus added a lighter tan for depth.
And, I changed the main Green color. Oh, and the gold triming.
Tell me what you think now.
Besides the feet I think he actually looks damn close to the SNES version, don't cha think?
the only thing with the feet is that the brightest color was replaced with a different color. my suggestion is to keep the boots the same color. don't try to match the snes sprite too closely or itll always look flat

But is has larg's fat head on it, so it's way worse than yours.
the head you have plus a body similiar to that should look good

yeah, just remember to use a pre made set of arms or it will take FOR EVER to finish, having to make arms from scratch is the biggest time consumer ever

make the gold fade into brown, so you have 3 shades. and part of it can be used on the hair. you need at least one more shade of green and one more of red

there ya go! much better, now then see how it looks like the brightest shade of gold looks like its closer to you than the darker shades? you gotta do that to the body and arms too.

much better, one more thing, from which direction would you say the light hits most fft characters? the gold design on his front side could get darker in certain areas to give it some depth too... after that id say you are ready to get started.and its looking good btw.

looking good, the design in the front should go up a little more as it goes toward the back, because hes at that angle things in the back like his other arm are higher than the front area. and its obviously kefka just by looking at it.

not bad, id still say the gold design is a little flat, make it darken toward the edges for the bottom gold, as it goes in toward the center where 'light' hits it more it should get brighter. just like the boots.

wikkid, allright the eye remember kefka has evil eyes make the black corner, thats closer to the nose of the face ,the dark skin tone color so he is making that angry face.
(and any time you want an opinion post, thats what i do in order to improve my sprites too! great to have more than one set of eyes)

What do you think of this side it's, there's something wrong with the cape I think.
Yeah the whole package is looking better, as in I think this will definitely become a good sprite by the time you are done with it. I'm still not happy with the green and the color scheme but it is looking good.
As far as that rear side view goes the cape looks weird because you have dark green pixels in rather odd places. Plus the design is going to need a little more work. First do the cape without the design and get the shading right, then work on getting the design in there.

ohh i see what it is.. have you done a color reduction to 16 colors on this sprite yet? otherwise there are two shades of green that are too similar, one can be darkened for blending purpose.
