Title: Help
Post by: Pickle Girl Fanboy on April 04, 2011, 07:40:37 pm
This belongs in spam because, well, it is spam, but could someone help me get a job, any shit job?  I live in Idabel, Oklahoma, and I'm tired of living with my parents and being unemployed.

I'll give you 50 cents for every 5 dollars you give me. 50 for 5! Sweet deal!

Well you live in Idabel, there is nothing there. But anyways, what do you have experience in? Did you go to college, if so, what did you major in? If you did not go to college, that is a VERY good way to become educated and move to a city with more opportunity.

When I look for jobs I use, www.indeed.com

I have 2 years experience mowing greens with a walking mower and doing golf-course landscaping things, ten years of doing dishes and cooking (four at a work-study program for underachievers at my high school, the rest just cleaning up after my parents as soon as I could reach the counter), a year and a month in the USMC - infantry rifleman - before I got kicked out (nothing serious, like drugs, I just couldn't handle the lifestyle), and one year stocking shelves and being shat on by managers at Wal-Mart.

About higher education: I have this irrational fear of debt.  I downloaded a bunch of textbooks on things I'm interested in, and all I'm looking for is a job and a quiet, private place to study.

Wow, the more I spend, the more I save!

You could start your own mowing/ land care business, don't think too big when you start. Start with your local neighborhood.

With your experience, I guess craigslist.org is the best option, look at other cities.

That is good you have texts books, but it won't matter without a formal degree to back it up.

I might not be the best person, I understand more on the professional level.

I have an interview today, at some regional chain restaurant.  Everyone, rub your lucky pickles and think of me.

It figures, though.  I finally start lying on applications, and two months later I get a job.

EDIT

Hired.  This time next week, it could be me gobbing in your food, instead of the local potheads.

People say the truth will set you free, from a job. Lying gets you hired and lets you keep it!
