Title: Assigning an unused Job to a sprite sheet
Post by: Closedvalve on March 27, 2011, 12:54:58 am
Is it possible to assign a spite sheet to an unused job slot in FFTPatcher? I am working with the PSP version of the game.

Whenever I attempt to edit one of the unused classes in it uses the default(Ramzach1) unit and wldface sets and the (presumably) default battle set(a plain old squire).

What do I need to do to get the ball rolling on this? I have learned how to insert custom sprites over regularly used characters, how do I add in unused ones?

Or is it even possible in the first place?

I am also willing to sacrifice character sprites (Simon, etc) that are preexisting, but I can't figure out how to get old sprites to mesh with the previously unused jobs, or how
to assign UNIT and WLDFACE values to different jobs. Maybe I have forgotten or overlooked something obvious...

On top of all this, FFTactext cannot patch the bin properly for some reason.

No takers? I'm sure one of you modding gurus has tried this sort of thing before.

Not in PsP, to be honest...
