Title: Savestates?
Post by: DrBreen on March 12, 2011, 11:22:13 am
A little question.
I know i should load saved game not with savestates, but with memory card.
But little question-why?
Because with memory card it takes recources from ISO,and with savestates-from savestate directly?
Or what?
Can someone explain me the mechanism?

In what context are you talking about?

If it is in regards to hacking, it is because savestates might contain the same data that you are trying to change, and thus changes wont show. Thus load from memory card, or a savestate prior to the point where you are loading new data.

For general gameplay using savestates is considered cheating.

Ah-ha-ha,i knew i forgot something  :D
Yes,it's about the hacking.
So,savestates kinda save "parts" of ISO in them, yes?
Hmm...that makes sense-now i understand, why they have sizes around 2MB when normal savecard is about 128 KB.
Thanks!

Quite literally it saves the working memory of the game.
