hello,

i'm trying to make a skin for minecraft in the style of tactics.
is there an effective way to rip the textures out of the game?
are they available somehwere or is there a tool which does so?

also how do i go about doing this?

Look up the tools that Gomtuu has made.

Genesha and the mapviewer. The mapviewer might be your best choice.
