I have Ubuntu 10.10.

Are you asking if you can compile it with out using wine?
Or are you asking if you can run it in using Wine?

What was FFTPatcher written in?  There may be a program to convert it to something that can compile in ubuntu.

Also, what variety of asm does the PS1 use?
