Title: Consolidated Statuses and Item Patch
Post by: Celdia on December 26, 2010, 11:33:26 am
This thread is obsolete. A new version of this patch has been posted in Hacking/Patching Tools under a new name of the ISIA (Inflict Status/Item Attribute) Base Patch. (https://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=12455.0)
Alright. Not entirely sure where to put this, but this being the 'Come Here First' forum, it seems like the best place.
With this patch I have consolidated and reorganized all of the slots under the Inflict Statuses tab in FFTPatcher, freeing up a total of 51 status slots from the original 13 I think it was. This is intended to be applied to a clean ISO before doing any editing so its great for anyone looking to start a new project (and less so for anything already in the works, sadly.) In addition to freeing up the extra slots, everything is reorganized so they're not all spread out around the list. 00-4C are being used for the pre-existing inflict statuses while 4D-7F are empty for use. Please feel free to make use of this patch however you like. A complete list of the reorganized statuses is in the spoiler below.
Pride, I'm going to add your version of the patch to this post as well so everything is available at the top.

This is great. Did you be sure to go through all the various items and skills to make sure they all reference the proper Inflict Statuses based on your new setup?
Also, if you find yourself with some free time, would it be possible to have this patch do the same thing for Item Attributes?
This is still nice regardless, because messing with Inflict Status was easily one of the most tedious things to do in the Patcher.

It does redirect the old skills to the new assignments. I may do the same for Item Attributes in the near future and add it to this.

And I took the time to fix the item attribute tab, now 39 to 4F is free giving 22 slots free. Hopefully this is a good start to anyone looking to begin making a patch.

This patch has a minor error in it.
The Holy Sword attacks are set to reference "All or Nothing" versions of the Status they inflict and not "Separate" versions of them, resulting in 100% procs over 25% procs.
You may want to double check where you goofed up and fix that.
Quick glances say that at least most of the statuses have proper "Separate" versions already in place, so the fix is likely nothing more than just adjusting the proc set on the skills themselves, I'm just too consumed in something else right now to do it because my attention span will die if I stop. >>;

Celdia, forgive my presumptuousness, but I checked what Raven said, and edited the Holy Sword skills to "separate" rather than "AON". I figured I'd save you the ten seconds to change it.. :)

Heh. >_<;; I just got that pointed out to me in my patch I was using this on. I hadn't thought to check back here since I posted this really. But yes, the fixed version with properly working Holy Sword skills is on the first post now.
