Hello i'm fairly new to animations and I seem to be stuck
Here is my situation
I wanted to make a ranger-mage hybrid class that used arrows to cast spells. I've managed to get all the magic effects working properly (I Think) however when my character fires an arrow instead of "locking onto the target" (going straight or curving upward) like the longbow is supposed to do. The arrow curves downward and misses the enemy. I have seen videos of custom skills where it does "lock on" so I know its possible. If anyone could help me with this i'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.
Ive been working on this for several hours with no luck if anyone has a solution to this please post it.
Anyone alive on this board?
where are these videos?
with an effect file, skills involving a long bow are going to do that, the arrow will just go some random place as the effect fires off.
the only ways i know to get around this is simply to be using a formula with no effect that casts a spell afterwards at 100%, AND since there isnt one like that, closest thing being formula 2 which is glitchy if used as a skill formula. the other way is for the skill to just come from a normal physical attack using formula 2 to cast a spell afterwards. I kept trying to talk asmers to create an alternate version of formula 2 so that i dont have to mod that one but to no avail.
basically what you are trying to do, doesn't exist. but with asm it would be easy to fix
That explains it then, thanks a bunch

And I can't seem to find the vid link but as zozma described it was working because it wasn't a spell animation it was default.
