If we could turn FFT into a whole different Tactics game, I think its a good idea to replace the character/job introduction with a new one (with all our custom character designs) but is that possible?

To answer your question to Arch, the artwork is from Vagrant Story, which is another SE game with artwork by Akihiko Yoshida. It is loosely related to the other games in the Ivalice Alliance, and most likely takes place on the Valendia continent, home to the Archadian Empire in Final Fantasy XII.
It's more of an action rpg. Very enjoyable.

Thanks! as soon as I read that the artwork was by Aki, I searched for more images then I realized I can just check the source of Voldemort's pic, turned out its from Breath of Fire, but it can still fit in with FFT (BoF4's environment looks real close to FFT's and Xenogears)

Not sure on VS's placement.
I know XII is the earliest game in the series right now, with Tactics 1400 years later, and FFTA and A2's framing stories (in St. Ivalice town) probably occuring long after VS. So VS is something like an interquel between T and TA.

I made these using photoshop CS2, the 1st character's armor is based on Ramza and Delita's armors, he's a 'regulator' similar to a judgemagister and is with the Order of Hashmal (just made it up lol)
the 2nd character is a dragoon but with much armor so that it won't look like it's a mercenary dragoon. they're with the Order of Hashmal as well (lol)

Though the cult of Hashmalum is an interesting concept, in one fanfic I read a younger Dycedarg was talking with Zalbag about "names that persevere through the ages" of course the names he was referring to was the Lucavi, but it was a fascinating read!
