Title: About formula 59...
Post by: Vanya on July 08, 2008, 12:26:25 am
Does lowering a unit's level just lower his Level stat or does it affect all ofthe target's stats as a result?

It's like leveling up, but the opposite.

If you'd get +1000 raw HP, you'd lose 1000 raw HP (actually it's a lil more on deleveling, due to formulas oddness).

So, if you keep leveling and deleveling on the same class you'll end up with shitty stats.

*snaps out of it*

Thanks for the info, Argg0! =)
I was thinking of adding a 'Full Break' skill to my classics version Knight's, but since I can't change what stats a break skill affects, I was hoping that this formula would adversely affect all of a character's stats. And it does, so I'm happy!! =D

Note that stat loss only happens after the battle and one level isn't that much of a loss.

Hmmm... How does it effect the enemy units then?

Damn. Oh, well. Guess I'll have to think of something else. Thanks for clearing that up.

The only thing that changes in battle is HP and MP.  Most of the time, you'll only gain/lose 2-3HP and maybe 1MP.
