Title: How do I keep the palette linear?
Post by: Lijj on April 03, 2010, 09:10:59 am
I want to put my sprite into Shi-Shi's but the palette's all weird every time. I used only 15 colors. The problem is the colors are all over the place on the palette. When I transfer from Photoshop to Shi-Shi's. Any advice?

Can you post a screenshot of what it's supposed to look like and what you're getting after you transfer the sprite over?

I appreciate it. I found out about Graphics Gale free & solved it.

In shishi the palette is 256 colors made up of 16 16-color palettes.
8 are for sprite, 8 are for portrait.

Thanks Mav & Vanya. When I'd go from Photo-shop to any other paint program including Palette Editor it would somehow , oddly about half the time, throw in an off white shade; it would appear in a random slot. So now I go to the recommended Graphics Gale for final touches. Haven't had any problem importing BMPs from there to Shi-Shi's.
