Title: Get error on sprinting
Post by: gmila84 on December 29, 2009, 01:31:37 pm
Hello my friends, how are you? Hope fine...

Man, I'm about to explode in terms of sprite edition... Especially when I'm using Shishi sprite editor... I can't import my edited bmps... I'm using photoshop, gimp and the marvellous one, graphicsgale free editon, just to save a bmp in 4bit format. When I tried to import in ShiShi , I got a log error. Same problem with FFT Sprite Manager...

Thanks for any help.

Ps. is a little obvius, but English is not my first language.

Try to index the .bmp file in Photoshop. Go to Image>Mode>Indexed Color and leave Palette at exact (it tells you how many colors you have under it) and in Forced leave Black and White. Transparency should be checked off. Under Options select None. Click OK and now try to upload your edited characters in Shishi. Hopefully this works, if not just post that it didn't and I will help you from there.

Found the problem

For actual importing you want it in 8 bit
the portrait is 4 bit
the sprite is 4 bit
you import it all together as an 8 bit
