Title: Vamp's spriting attempt take 2
Post by: VampragonLord on December 09, 2009, 04:59:44 am
I've just been generally fooling around with sprite editing and experimenting, general recolors to see how shading works, etc.
This is my latest creation and one i would like to finish off.

matched the purple to Tetas so it wasnt as crazy, also lightened her hair a little bit

I think the lightest two purple shades are just too similar looking. While the first cape was too saturated and bright, this one may be too desaturated and light. The concept itself actually looks good. I'm not a huge fan of the hair, but overall the sprite is very interesting, to say the least.

Re-darken the hair and darken the cape as well.

Eh, I kind of like the cape color this time.  Maybe darken the second lightest shade a little bit since they are so similar.

And compare her original height with this sprite's height, she shouldn't be taller, I just have a feeling she is though. >_<

This is far better than your first sprite, if you keep this up, it might shape good.

exact same height, i just checked. The dragoon skirt may make her look taller, though if you lay over the starting knight sprite its a perfect fit. The hair change was just so it looked more OC, i just didnt wanna keep basic knight hair. I'm open to other hair style ideas though. I'll work with the cape a bit more today, try and get it perfect.

I don't think she looks taller, she looks a little thinner to me, though that's probably the dragoon skirt making it look like that.

Updating this with random recolors i did for a friend

its just a recolored archer, but one of the minor changes is the main/heavily armored arm's palette is tied to the pants, not the hair.

its really nothing special, just thought id share

that one had been made to my friends specifications, so the colors may be all saturated, but when i tried to "fix" it he kept buggin me to stop. here is it after playing around with it for a good.....20 seconds.
one of the "rough drafts" he had it as was the entire sprite being bright red and gold..... the idiot wanted to be "iron man the archer"
