Is it possible, to give Ramza a custom skillset for every job, while still maintaining the default Job System?
The obvious one that works, is Guts vs. Basic Skill, where Ramza gets a few extra abilities to supplement his Basic Skill.
But my question is, can you do this for -every- job?
Add a few Ramza only skills to diversify him a bit more from the average generic, and make him more on par to other characters like Agrias, and TG Cid.
I assume if this is possible, it would take heavy modifying to make it work for only Ramza.
Any feedback on how, or if it is possible at all would be appreciated.
<< I'm very new to this mod scene, but I figure I should try to go big or go home.
You can use FFTPatcher provided by melonhead to modify skillsets of anyone u want to. For adding skill like Stasis sword from any Holy Knight to Ramza, all you need is to open Ramza's skillset and find Stasis sword and add into his skillset empty space. Hope this can help you.
I'll add an example of what I mean cause I think I may haven't gone into enough detail as to what I'm looking for.
Whereas a Generic would get, for instance, Lancer, Thief, and Priest, Ramza would get instead, Dragoon, Bandit, and Cleric, with all of the default abilities, + a few abilities unique to Ramza and or a few other story characters.
Think of it as a Generic being a Thief, but Ramza being a Thief+.
Basically like his Super Squire, but to every job, while maintaining the job tree (level 2 squire for archer/knight, level 3 knight for monk etc.)
Ah i see, my bad for misunderstand your question. I think for now it can't be done by that except you change whole generic job to special like you said by Ramza access to thief+ or cleric. I think i can't help you settle this problem because i don't know how to do it, sorry. Anyone knows and willing to help?
So far as I understand, this is impossible, but someone may prove me wrong, and I'll thank them for it.
I don't think you could do this because you'd have to overwrite several other jobs and those jobs wouldn't be attached to the job wheel.
As far as our current understanding and tools it isn't possible. To achieve this you'd have to ASM hack a specific portion of the game and then figure out how to expand the ISO without it crashing.
Yeah I had a feeling, I guess it's mod everyone, or mod no one.
Well thanks for the help everyone.
