Title: new guy - begining
Post by: PrOj3cT_cHaOs on November 23, 2009, 05:10:13 pm
well, i have been playing fft for years and just recently i got into gamesharking for changing sprites around and adding abilities and crap which i found really fun and interesting, but now i want to take it to the next level by trying to make my own sprites, i have read tutorials and downloaded quite a few programs and well i cant seem to get a grip on it, i have used the custom sprites from the download section of this site and used shishi to put them into the game and all worked well but i have some interesting ideas for sprites that i would like to try and make..

the whole switching palettes and stuff has me scrambled, i have programs like graphicsgale, cdmage, fftpatcher, shishi, palsuite3, palette editor, gimp and so on.

any help would be appreciated.

maybe the spriters are currently busy.. i cannot help you about spriting though, since i'm not qualify to become a spriter :p

just wait patiently, by the mean time why don't you play around with fftpatcher.

between googling stuff like "graphicsgale tutorial" and its own help function, you can pick up a lot of cool stuff.  I forget the exact command to access the palette window, though.  Once that window's open palette swapping is easy and intuitive.
