so i've been fooling around, changing colors of equipment changing item effects and lately trying to make each story battle hard as hell as i get to each one. now i did just fix the problem i was having but the problem i ran into was the game would freeze on the 1st meluda battle. i had 10 enemies on the screen, changed colors on a few, changed directions, changed levels to around 40 with exotic equpiment (silly things like dual weilding defenders)
and the game would freeze on the finish of the first move (king behemoth casts twister) i'd choose the direction to wait and it freezes. i couldnt figure out why, but i removed 2 units and it works fine ... so far, im still fighting.
so is it common knowledge that you can only have so many units per battle? or is there a way to change the max amount of units in a battle. im using fftpatcher btw, is there anything new? maybe something more graphic? (changing colors and effects of equipment and moves is a pain)
the cap per battle is either 16 or 12 units, map pending. Don't know exactly which maps are the 12's, but 16 is the majority of them.
There's no such thing as 12 max. Where are you pulling that out from?
16 or 12, hmm i dont think fft patcher lets you throw down that many people. better question, does this max units include your team? sounds dumb to ask since removing units seems to unfreeze my 'creative' battles.

And yes, max includes YOUR people. Usual enemy cap is 11, but since you have 6 people in your party for thieves fort its going to be 10 (or 6).
