I will post some encounters, you must bet about who will win (No money ofc <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="Smile" />)
First match
Who will win? (Characters are on the enemy side, so they can learn/use every ability, no traps)

First fight: Zeklaus desert, FFT Vanilla

Hoisler.

He has 8 Range Kiku, and up close, an even stronger Muramasa (or MA*30 Chiri, assuming that Dome doesn't take back what he said). Damage Split can be troublesome, but with Move-HP Up, it should cancel a lot of the problems. Defense UP will prevent a lot of damage, and 4 move will keep him away from Two Swords attacks/breaks if he needs to stall for HP via Move-HP Up.

this is a hard one

female monk can't be 1 shotted via damage due to salty rage and damage split + move HP UP (though if she had DEFUP or MDEFUP she'd be alot better)

I fear that geomancer might KO himself with Draw Outs (mp switch wont protect vs damage split) while female monk just chakras when she's low and spams ES

then again AI is stupid as hell sometimes, and damage split wont go off all the time

I'm pretty undecided on this one

Assumed that the characters would be far enough for Masamune to activate... and forgot how bad the AI is with Draw Out... oh well.

This one is a lot tougher... it depends on whether the Knight will Weapon Break or not... I'll bet Roland.

Definitely Hugo. Garcia can't land a Jump or a charge on an 18 speed unit, and Hugo is free to spam Black Magic / Cure / whatever.

Garcia, easily.

Two-handed 108 gems holy lance with protect at neutral compat clocks in at 448 damage.  All you need is one good stab.  Meanwhile, Holy only does ~310 damage -- garcia needs to be hit with a strong spell 3 times.  That's simply not going to happen, speed difference and everything.

So, the ideas at the moment are:

Rafa VS Tiamat
Rafa VS Malak (Gamefags)
Gaffgarion VS Agrias
Ramza VS Delita (Gamefags)
Meliadoul vs. Kletian/Cletienne

I can make them all, I just need a bit of time...

Hmm... true. Maybe Defense Up could be the cure-all for this situation. As well as making Kletian very mobile with a good movement ability.

Rinos is the likely one to win.  Its vanilla Triple Thunder tends to be able to kill just about anyone in a single turn depending on how unlucky the target is.

Rinos ftw. Triple Flame has a 24 multiplier for formula 5E (MA+Y)*MA/2 with a chance to hit 3 times with a vertical of zero. And the battlefield is Zeklaus, which isn't the flattest map in the game.

Did damage calculations for Sand Storm, and its pretty low, about 270. Rafa takes 169 damage from Triple Flame/Thunder, but Triple Bracelet will deal 201 damage (50% HP rounded down), meaning the AI might go for that instead. 31% Critical Quick probably won't save Rafa either.

Although, the 600+ damage from Diamond Sword is quite nice. And the Tiamat has no melee to smash her... screw it.

If it were a battle of magic, Rafa would win due to her formula not using Faith, but...  I think Malak will win due to Damage Split and having decent attack power.  Assuming he actually uses that attack power that is...

Rafa. Un-truth does crappy damage with Rafa's 69 Fa, and Truth ignores Malak's Faith anyway. Rafa has elemental for 270 damage, it depends on whether she'll use Truth or ELemental because if it is the latter Damage Split may kill her.

I think Malak's got it, though it does seem closely matched. I think the deciding factor will be damage split going off and Critical Quick A) not going off and B) being kinda crappy in a 1v1 anyway.

Also, I'd like to vote AGAINST a 1v1 fight with the two MBarrier casters.  The video(s) would be unbearably long, and depending on the skillsets given, entirely possible to wind up a stalemate.

mbarrier costs a ton of MP, and reraise and haste would be wasted in the 1v1

why would elemental make any difference? elemental isn't exactly hard hitting

we've seen move HP UP + salty rage in these 1v1 before, and damage split too

totally killable, wouldn't take longer than a couple of minutes in 1v1
