Title: Will you paid for downloading music onligne?
Post by: SolidSnakeDog on November 13, 2009, 07:04:07 pm
My comment : I think this is stupid to paid for em...there let you lisen to the full song and ask you to dl it for 5-30 $ (Depending of the place and music)
But...you can just record the music using a mic and record the music yourself for free...(I think this may be illegal...not sure)

Just want to know how your guys think about it.

I have my other ways - downloads from YouTube mainly - but I rarely buy music as of late. I have tons of CDs as it is, then I started recording off radio, TV, movies, and games (including some VERY rare live tracks I've now lost). I had 1,000 + tracks recorded when my old laptop broke. Now I just make a note of the song and download it.

However, I still buy albums from a select few artists whose albums I collect.

I rarely listen to new songs. And if I did find a new song that I liked, I'd rip it off and send the artist a check.

I agree with SSD.  I'll hack them and in my dictionary, is no more buying(pay). Everything must be free, original and exist.

Well, if you get 1, you won't get 3.
And you can't get 2 either way.

There's too much, I just need 1.

lmao.  Does this world come with a unicorn/octopus hybrid?  I'd like that too.

QuoteWill you paid for downloading music onligne?

Given today's media and technology, this statement can be simply reduced to:

QuoteWill you pay for buying permanent copies of music?

Hell.  Yes.  Just because it's online and not on a CD, or cassette, or album, doesn't somehow mean it should be free. It is just easier to steal, which somehow equates for freeloading jackbutts going hog wild with immediate gratification and not having to pay a dime.

In fact, I love how music is being distributed nowadays, in so much that I can find stuff from Kingston Trio that isn't on their greatest hits album.  Just TRY to find stuff like that for free.  Because they have a ~$.75-$1.25 fee means companies are willing to mess with the upload and distribution.

I mean, if your music tastes are nothing but Top 40 here-today gone-today singles "artists", then yeah, you can just make a tape of the radio and not miss a bit.  But ultimately online purchasing has made the pool of available music increase exponentially.   Thumbs up.

If it's worth listening to, it's worth supporting the artist for.

For me, only FFT soundtrack who is worth. I'll buy it no matter how much the price(If that's necessary). But if I have no money, I don't have the other way, so I have to hack them.

I hardly listen to music.

I only listen to classical music, old/popular songs and VG music.

Most music these days are trash anyway.

I believe you can find most of the stuff you want in /rs/.

"Man, this brand new Corvette is so awesome.  But look at that price tag!!  Who the hell spends $50,000 on a car?  What a rip off!  Oh well, I think I'll just steal this corvette."

Edit:  Charing a dollar per son?  What band burns money for children?

Most of the bands I listen to DESERVE my financial support.

I buy their albums, I see their shows and I regularly spread their great works to others.

I try to support bands best I can, which means I go to their shows and buy shirts/cds if I can.

I'm not really opposed to downloading, I'm just too lazy to do it.

Don't you use earplugs? I do, I don't want to go deaf!

If you have the cash, you can get some custom earplugs that will be tailored to your specifications and reduce noise evenly across the whole spectrum.

Earplugs may be a good idia...but by using em you will have an hard time talking to someone. (For me at less)

I fogot to say something : I do heard loud noise much stronger that normal...but i can barely hear the lower sounds...thanks to my ears riring at all times...no matter what i do. I am having an hard time to sleep unless i use a semi-noisy fan to temporaly kill off the riring...man this shit is crasy i tell you.

I never EVER hear total silence on my life...This is not a fucking joke...i wish there was something in the current time to cure it...the only cure i found cost like 5000$ and got a sucess rate of 5-10%...
Worth it? I don't think so.

because a $10-$20 CD doesn't have 10-20 songs on it
