Title: Unused music mp3 downloads (19 unheard tracks!)
Post by: Fiska on May 30, 2008, 07:20:37 pm
gomtuu posted the memory addresses to screw with events in ATTACK.OUT, Lasting_Dawn explained to me how to change the music for events (specifically the prayer one), and I recorded them and uploaded them. Here are 19 tracks not found during playthrough, and as far as we know they're not in the sound test... in any case, here they are in mp3 format for as far as we know the first time ever.

19 unreleased tracks

Corrected 5F (unwanted talking/typing sound early on)

Just replace the 5F song in the pack with the one in the second download, and you're good to go.

Thanks to those already mentioned.

EDIT: I'll repack and reupload a full correct pack, but right now, I have to leave to go to the beach (vacation). So I'll edit this to reflect that in a few days (Monday or so).

***** Please note that Voldemort7 was in the chatroom at the time that the discovery took place.

There are 98 music files, and the sound test has 98 songs...

And Mp3 is a pretty crappy format, you can find the PSF archive easily by googling, although I plan to add it to the downloads section.

Oh, the PSFs were there for these all along? I figured they may have been, but we weren't actually ripping the PSFs so much as just recording audio from the game when altering an event to play a certain song. Also, I realize MP3 is a relatively crappy format (I did it for size/compatibility/nobody really wants FLACs for something this simple) today's standards. Though, I could have recorded FLACs and then transcoded to V0, and it would have been better at a marginally higher size. Oh well.

Also, I don't have a copy of the game with a sound test, so I couldn't verify this. At the time, none of us did.

Yay ignorance!

Those songs are from the Sound Novels that were cut from the US release. It's cool that we can use them.
