Title: japanese sprites
Post by: EpikComplex on October 29, 2009, 10:41:41 pm
Hi I noticed that japanese modders over in japan or where ever they are happen to be doing the exact same thing this site is doing along with some original works that aren't found here. (one thing was that they created a bunch of nice portraits and possibly sprites to go with them, there's a post regarding about that somewhere here..) anyone have any idea where the sites, if they exist, that contain these japanese works are located?? I'd be a great addition for everyone that uses FF Hacktics as some concepts that others try to do have already been done, saving everyone the hassle to start from scratch! :]

Hi
I'm coming from japanese site called "FFT Kaizo Sure".
In first,i apologize you about my bad english...sorry.

If you want informations of sprites made by japanese creater, it's good to try comunicating with them!

this is the link of "Kaizou Sure"
http://schiphol.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/g ... 247281943/ (http://schiphol.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/gameurawaza/1247281943/)

you can write in english, though everyone write in japanese.
maybe some one who can speak english will make a reply to you,
because some people at this site check "FFHacktics" just you.

Thanks for posting the link to that site, unko, hopefully now we can start communicating with each other better and share our resources. Welcome to FFH.

I've seen that topic many times before but I never imagined that's where they gathered.
I had someone from Turkey post for me over there because they forbid America IP and it detected all my Japanese proxies, thus preventing me from posting there myself.

Welcome Unko, I look forward to future work between our two sites.

Well this is really exciting. But can anyone understand the structure of the site at all, I can't open up anything?

Though this http://www.carbuncle.jp/fft/ (http://www.carbuncle.jp/fft/) is fun. If you go down to the bottom you can see FFTA styled sprites of all the FFT characters and jobs. An impressive bit of spriting.

I've been going through the page with Google Translate (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fschiphol.2ch.net%2Ftest%2Fread.cgi%2Fgameurawaza%2F1247281943%2F), but haven't quite figured it out. There are a couple links on the page, but overall it's hard to understand. I'll keep scrolling through...

Yeah, you gotta copy the link to the browser separately, or else it goes to those random porno banners. Hopefully our friends on the Japanese page already know that and come on over anyways...

This morning I asked some guy from Turkey to post the message for it.
That Japanese site completely prevents me from posting.
It blocks "overseas", hence the american continent, and every japan proxy I get my hands on.

So if anyone on FFH is living in Asia, please post this message:
Quoteここに話すことは非常に困難である。
このウェブサイトはここに掲示の海外に防ぐ。
私は話すことをどこかに好む。

Jon, like I mentioned earlier it was a guy from Turkey. I helped him yesterday, and somehow it seems he was able to help me in return.

Thanks jimmy for posting.
Next post, with Zodiac and zodiac@ffhacktics.com (mailto:zodiac@ffhacktics.com) please?
It takes hours to post here because I can't post myself.

Oh, and your English is not hard to understand.
I speak English and French, but not Japanese. (T_T)[/quote]

You're welcome, Zodiac. Glad to help.
I posted with your name and email this time, from the quote.

EDIT: Should the quote be in japanese, Zodiac? I posted in English.

They replied back Zodiac, I think and gave a wiki link.

Do they have forums or something to communicate other than wikis and upload pages?

I uploaded some of my stuff to their site a while back, and with it gave a link to FFH.

Maybe this is their forum: http://schiphol.2ch.net/gameurawaza/ (http://schiphol.2ch.net/gameurawaza/) ?
There's various topics.

So what's the deal? They don't want to email Zodiac? It seems like they prefer the more anonymous board style...

Dunno, but the guy is seriously stubborn as to not e-mail me.

What ever happened to my previous post?

Jimmy you forgot to mention that I can't post on the wiki. What you posted was the error message saying that I cannot post because I'm from "overseas". No wonder he's confused if you only posted that.

Just so you all know, im using 3 different translators to understand their messages better. As each one gives different results, it then becomes easier to get the idea from it.

Google translator and Babelfish suck hard btw.
Title:
Post by: Xifanie on December 20, 2009, 05:56:06 pm
Then what do you use? I've only found worse translators.
Title:
Post by: jimmyjw88 on December 20, 2009, 07:15:29 pm
Well, actually I did put in a message on why you can't post, Zodiac; "Here is the message of why Zodiac can't post....". Looks like its not clear to understand. Sorry, I'll post again. And yes, Smash, what translator did you use? Using Google translator, it just sounds weird. I don't get it.

I've been using these two lately.

http://www.excite.co.jp/world/ (http://www.excite.co.jp/world/)

http://honyaku.nifty.com/ (http://honyaku.nifty.com/)

Babelfish coming up third, if nessesary.

Haha, holy shit.

Google translate seems to do quite well when translating japanese to spanish, like, five times better than english.. I'd recommend giving it a try, if anyone's native spanish here.

Post by: VampragonLord on December 22, 2009, 03:18:24 am
japanese -> spanish -> english work? or is it too garbled?
Title:
Post by: Smash on December 22, 2009, 03:30:12 am
Well, if one translator ride can hardly be read, imagine two. It's bound to read like shit, no matter what..

Comfirmed it just now.

Funny, how crap-like the spanish to english translations read like, when I know both languages perfectly.. I take it the japanese must be thinking that way of our messages.

Hmm....so translate japanese to spanish then to english would be better than japanese direct to english?
