Goal: I'm trying to get Vanya's Defender Sprite (Ch2/3 Ramza) into FFT but I don't want the base purple sprite - I want the his red version.
Attempted: So far I've attempted importing the SPR into FFT an switching the drop down box for palette to "Sprite #2" this seems to have no effect when you exit though. I've also tried exporting the BMP when I had palette "Sprite #2" selected (so the GUI showed me a red defender) but it exported the same palette.
Any help is appreciated.

I think this program that Zodiac made should allow you to do such a thing.
Wow, thanks for the reply Aquablack that solved everything pretty much instantly. One quick question though. At the beginning in the Monastery there is a graphics glitch when Ramza kneels. Interestingly it doesn't show up in the same animation in battle. Any ideas?
Well the animation at the beginning is an evtchr animation I believe, when he kneels there he puts his hand on his chest and in battle his hand is on the ground. You should check to see if the palette colors of Vanya's sprite match up to the vanilla Ramza sprite, if the corresponding colors are in different spots, it'll look pretty wonky when the evtchr references the sprite's palette.
Event sprites.
download the event sprite editor program..
Sir Zodiac's palette program is a quick palette editor, and gets the job done.
You can also changed palettes via GraphicsGale, and gives you so many options.

Welcome!
Paheej, use that program, export sprites where ramza is in, then edit its palette.
(according to number)
I know this is hard to figure out at start.
I never used it that much, either.
Thanks for the heads up Mike! I'll look into it.
