Just started up on my next project. I'll be doing Marle from Chrono Trigger!
BTW, these are separate images, so the spacing is off from what it would be on the spritesheet. I'm doing each image one at a time, so I upload it one at a time.

As I'm sure you can tell, the body is a slightly modified and recolored Rafa. The head, however, I will admit to shamelessly taking from Lydyn and Zozma's Ponytail Agrias. It is the best head that I can see for Marle, and since I'm still an amateur spriter, I rely mainly on copy/pasting.
Anyway tell me what you think of it. It only has fourteen colors in it, so if there are any particular details I could fix, there is room to do so. ^_^
Use some darker shades around neck, it will help.
Do you mean darker shades of the skin tone, or darker shades of the clothing?
I'd say a touch of both, so that there is a way to distinguish the shirt from the neck
I'll see what I can do to fix that. I think I'll finish up the main frames, and then work on the neck. ^^
I was talking about whole neck (clothes and skin)
the arm on the side view looks to big
Definitly it's too big, you edited it, or just copy/pasted it?
It was edited, but it's sorta hard to thin out, cuz Rafa has those god damn wrist bands. >_<
I'm gonna fix that to be sure.
Yeah, just fix the arms up a bit and then you're golden.
Fixed up the arm in the left side view a bit. It may be me, but it seems a little funky now, but definitely thinner and easier to look at than the last one IMO.
Now the upper part of arm is a bit outlined, try some lighter shade.
Used a lighter shade to remove as much as I could see from the outline effect on the Left view's arm. Any better? ^^
Photobucket isn't liking that I'm reuploading the same picture multiple times... ^^;

It'll update if you refresh the page, otherwise it'll use the older, cached image even if you deleted it.
Adjust the hair first.
Okay, once you finish the rough spritesheet, I'll help you finish her.
Awesome thanks. ^^
In what way does the hair need to be adjusted? Color? Shape?
Color I know will be a given, since she's closer to blonde than this.
Not really necessary, though.
The hair bangsss.. (shape)
Ah the shape of the bangs. They aren't quite what Marle has in her portrait, true. But, In her CT spritesheet, her sprite's bangs aren't too diffeerent from this.
...And it's gonna be hard to change that factor. ^^ Lol. I'll try though.
Looking good ^^
Not bad, but that dark gray outline is extremely bothersome. And what are those black pixels under her hair on the diagonal rear-facing sprite? The belt needs work on every sprite and the color choice for the clothes seems a bit too green...
What they said.
The dark gray outline I wasn't sure how to change, the black pixels under her hair actually aren't supposed to be there.
Minor oopsie from me during the copy/pasting process that I apparently forgot to rectify. The belt uses two colors like Rafa's sash, though I guess that may not be enough. The color choice from the clothes was made to match Marle's color scheme for her sprite and not her artwork, where in her artwork and animated cutscenes her clothes are white, her sprite actually has clothing in a shade of green.
