My friend recommends DVD Shrink but apparently it's been taken down (perhaps you can find a mirror). Sadly DVDK9 is a Linux app. Try all the open source ones.

So, did you find one? I'm considering ripping all my DVDs and trading all but my favourites into Smyths to supplement my tradeins (which includes a faulty Unreal Tournament 3

I'm trying HandBrake now...it works well enough but it takes a little over the duration of the actual film to rip. Oh well. Better than nothing.
