Title: A Hacking Idea, for FFTPatcher. Jobwheels?
Post by: Kupoe on September 30, 2009, 10:13:30 pm
I know you can alter jobwheels via GS. but is it possible to do it via FFTPatcher?

801C83F0 00??       [16] Number of jobs
801C83F8 00??       [16] Job #1 modifier
801C83FA 00??       [16] Job #2 modifier
801C83FC 00??       [16] Job #3 modifier
all the way up to...
801C844E 00??       [16] Job #44 modifier

with ?? being the byte for the job.
(Czar dragon did these codes, not me)

like you would think that, if a GS code exists for it, you can do a hardcode?

If you're willing to accept jobs that are unlocked from games start, and have abilities learned at random (based on learn %) in battle, then yes that might be worth a look, other then that though, the code is relatively useless.

Incorporating this will take quite a bit of ASM hacking, plus it will probably never give you more than starting jobs as LD said.
I personally have an idea for using this to perfect the all units get the 'Item' command hack.

Welcome to FFH. ^_^

I'm glad you found interest in this topic, but can you please not bump it? It's more than a year old. Thanks!
